Planning a trip to make a video

July 16

A few nights ago I called Lee and told him I was interested in doing the video with Judith Wilson. He said he'd mail me plane tickets. He asked my shoe size and suit size and stuff. I felt funny about all the niceness and said so.

He said "Don't think that I expect anything special from you. I'm just totally into the Scene and I'm going to really enjoy making the video. You don't have to be uncomfortable about anything."

I said okay. Besides I've seen the video he did with Judith and I can tell he enjoys himself as it is.

This morning I stopped at the post office and my box had a card to claim express mail. I was surprised. I opened it right there at the post office. It contained my plane tickets -- I'll leave Wednesday night and return Saturday. Lee had said the video itself will take about a day and a half to make. Well aside from the plane tickets there was a little letter all stapled shut. I pried it open and inside was money. I was really surprised. Lee had said in one letter a while ago that if I did a video he'd pay a modeling fee, but I guess I hadn't taken it too seriously. I'd decided to do the video because I wanted to meet Judith Wilson. Wow! I was very excited. His letter said that an extra $50 was enclosed for a manicure and pedicure: he instructed me to get my fingernails and toenails painted bright red. (Of course I have no fingernails, but he doesn't know that, so I'll have to have falsies put on.)

I was just bursting as I got in my car and started for Puck's. It was just soooo exciting!! I got to the town near Puck's early so I went into a lingerie store and looked at their corsets. I almost bought one that was $44 (it's so quickly infectious when one is carrying tons of money) but I talked myself out of it. That corset was almost as costly as my leather corset that I got from Trashy Lingerie -- and look how nice my Trashy one is, compared to store-bought ones!
